Can I build my own app or dashboard and show it inside my sub-accounts' sidebar?

Yes. Tell the AI assistant what to build and it builds a web app. A web app can be almost anything, with its own database and its own login: for example a dashboard with stats, a portal where users upload videos and see their own uploads, a membership website, a business directory, a to-do list app, or a multi-page tool that takes a business's name and website, gets its Google reviews, writes a video script, sends it to the video generator and posts the result to social media. If Votel lacks a feature, you can usually build it as an app.

To show a published app inside the platform:

  1. Publish the app to get its URL.
  2. Go to Settings, SaaS Configurator and add a custom menu item (a custom link) to the sidebar using that URL.
  3. Optionally set it as the home page people see when they log in, so the dashboard shows up first.

When your sub-accounts log in they see your app in the sidebar and it looks embedded in the platform. Match the color scheme so it feels like part of the same system.

If your app has its own login for users who never sign into the platform, keep the app's own username and password database instead of creating platform logins, so there is no double login. If you want clients or members to see only their own uploads, build that as a custom app rather than relying on forms.

An app with custom code and a custom database has a hosting cost of $9 a month.

For stats, Votel also has built-in Dashboards with many chart options that the AI can build, visible in your account or a client's account.
