Do I need Twilio or another phone provider to use phone numbers, calls and SMS in Votel?

No. Votel does not use Twilio. Votel has its own phone system and back end, with built-in voice over IP and SMS, so we are the phone service and you do not connect Twilio or any other phone or SMS service. There are no integrations to set up.

You buy a number under Settings, then Phone, then Buy a number, and the system handles it from there. An AI agent on a number can answer calls, forward to a live person and book appointments. SMS is built in too and billed by usage.

You can buy new numbers inside Votel or keep your existing numbers by forwarding them to Votel or porting them in under Settings, then Phone, then Transfer numbers.
