How do I add funds to my wallet and set up auto recharge?
Usage is pay per use from your wallet. You do not pre-buy services: you add funds to the wallet, each use is deducted from it, and the money can be used for any service in the list. If the balance reaches zero, your services turn off, including phone numbers, AI agents, email and SMS. Auto recharge refills the balance automatically, and we recommend that you and all your clients turn it on.
- Go to Settings, then Billing, then the Usage tab. Your wallet balance is shown there.
- Add your billing details. A credit card must be on file.
- Click Add funds to top up your balance at any time.
- Turn on the auto recharge switch and set the rule, for example: whenever the balance drops below $10, add $10.
Auto recharge triggers on the threshold: as soon as the balance falls below it, even by a penny, the full top-up amount is charged into your wallet. With it on, services are not interrupted when the balance runs low: inbound phone calls keep being answered and campaigns such as database reactivation keep sending.
Once your plan's included amount of a service is used up, that usage is taken from your wallet. If you resell Votel with SaaS plans, you can also set usage limits so a sub-account cannot spend more than you allow.
A charge on your credit card is usually money added to your wallet, for example by auto recharge, not the cost of one task. To see what the wallet money was spent on, open Activity, then Balance activity.
AI assistant credits cost $0.25 each when you buy or replenish them.
