How do I bring an app or site I built in Lovable, Base44 or another AI builder into Votel?

First check whether your project is a static website (plain HTML files) or an app.

A static website goes in the website builder. Import it from its URL, or open the website's Files and drop the files in.

An app built with Lovable, Base44, Vercel or a similar tool is set up by the AI assistant, which has a web app builder:

  1. Open the AI assistant.
  2. Attach a ZIP file of the app's source code, or paste the link to its GitHub repository if the app is synced to GitHub.
  3. Tell it to set up this application.

The AI opens the files, recognizes that it needs to create an app, installs the code, builds it and sets up everything it needs. You can also start from Web Apps: click the plus button next to Web Apps and choose Import from GitHub, or connect GitHub. If the AI tool that built the app can publish to Votel, you can have it publish there instead. When the app is ready, publish it to your domain.

The Import from URL feature is for websites. It does not fit a site that was built as an app.

If your app uses an outside database such as Supabase, you keep that database and only the front end moves to Votel.

If your site was built in GoHighLevel's AI Studio, the GoHighLevel export tool (a Chrome extension that exports your GoHighLevel data so it can be imported into Votel) includes your AI Studio projects. You find the exporter in the Votel school community.

Votel can replace Lovable for building sites: sites are hosted and maintained in the platform, you get unlimited websites and funnels, and AI-built sites stay editable in the drag and drop builder. You can back up or leave at any time: there is a download for both your app's code and its database.
