How do I connect my own domain to my white label so customers log in on my brand?

You point the domain at Votel by adding DNS records at your domain provider (for example Namecheap, GoDaddy or Cloudflare). This is a one-time setup.

  1. In Votel go to Settings, then SaaS Configurator, then Custom domain, and click Add domain.
  2. Enter a subdomain for your white label login, for example app.yourdomain.com, and leave the default settings. The white label help center is on by default; leave it on. Do not send email from this subdomain (send from your root domain instead), and if the domain already has a mail service such as Google Workspace, leave inbound email off.
  3. A panel shows the DNS records to add. There are more than the first two: click the small yellow labels one at a time (website, email and help docs) and scroll down to see every record, including the website configuration and help doc configuration records.
  4. Log in to your domain provider and open its DNS settings (Advanced DNS on Namecheap, DNS Records on GoDaddy). Add each record exactly as shown, usually record type CNAME, with the name (such as app) and the value. Copy and paste the values from Votel rather than typing them.
  5. If a record with the same name already exists, for example an old app record pointing to another platform such as GoHighLevel, check it is not in use, then edit it to the new value instead of adding a duplicate. If the domain was attached to another website, remove the old conflicting records. Your provider may ask for a two factor code before saving.
  6. Make sure no value ends with an extra dot after .com. Some providers add the dot by themselves, which is fine, but do not type one.
  7. Back in Votel, click the refresh button next to the domain to check it. DNS can take time to propagate, so one record may show as found before another. Check again in an hour or a few hours. When every record is found, the domain turns green and shows as verified. To see the instructions again later, click the yellow pill icon.

Once it is verified, open the domain in a new tab and you will see your white label login. That address is the sign-in link to give your customers instead of the Votel link. Customers create their accounts through a signup form or the funnel website you build.

If the add is refused because the domain already exists in your account (for example it was added earlier for email), turn off the email option on the existing entry or remove it first, then add it for the white label.

If this looks hard, click Live support and our team will help you enter the records.
