How do I estimate what a client will cost me in usage each month?

There is no average cost, because usage drives it: how many SMS and emails the client sends, how many calls the AI handles, and whether the client uses the AI assistant themselves or you do the setup. Only the client can tell you their volume, so ask what they will actually use, based on their niche and the problem you solve. A client such as a roofer who never logs in may have very low usage.

Once you know the volume, you can calculate the cost from the price list:

1. For email or SMS, multiply the cost per message by the number of recipients and by how many times you send each month.
2. For calls, use the client's call volume and average call length to estimate the minutes, then multiply by the cost per minute.
3. Do the same for anything else on the usage price list under Settings, Billing, Usage.

For AI voice, the pricing calculator on the Votel website shows the cost per minute for the options you pick.

If you do not want a client to use more than a certain amount, set limits in their SaaS plan.
