How do I find and get clients for my AI agency?

You can use some or all of these channels. Each one costs either time or money: Facebook ads cost money, the others mostly cost time.

  1. Put the Visitor ID pixel on your website so you can identify your visitors.
  2. Connect all your social media accounts and post at least once a day, linking to your website. You can set it up and let the AI create and post the content. Every view you get for free is marketing you did not pay for.
  3. Join Facebook groups, subreddits and other communities where your ideal client spends time. Help people publicly and add value instead of spamming links, for example post a free web design you built, so others see the social proof and see you as the industry expert. Answering questions on Reddit about the problems you solve also builds inbound leads over time and helps you get cited in AI answers (AEO).
  4. Use lead magnets: trade a useful guide for a name, email and phone number. Have ChatGPT or the Votel AI assistant write a guide about your niche's pain points (for example how an HVAC company stops losing 20 to 30 leads a month) with your platform as the solution. Put it on a short landing page with a form that triggers a follow-up workflow, and share it in your posts and groups.
  5. Use prospecting tools to build lists for cold outreach, for example Phantom Buster, Apify, Google Maps extraction tools or real-time intent alert tools.
  6. Use email agents to stay in front of your list and your website visitors, once a week or once a month, so you are there when they are ready.
  7. Do outbound AI calling and texting to leads who have opted in, sending a text before the call.
  8. Network locally and face to face. Groups like BNI are a good source of clients and referrals. Keep a phone number connected to one of your own AI agents saved in your phone, so you can call it anywhere, put it on speaker and role play a turn or two to show what it does.
  9. Run Facebook ads for immediate results. Bad targeting, a bad offer or bad creative wastes ad money, so the system behind the ads matters more than the ads themselves.

When you pitch, describe the specific outcome you deliver (for example 10 more service appointments a month for an HVAC company) rather than saying you have an AI receptionist, because everyone pitches that.

If you are just starting out, pick one niche and one offer, and make your website say in one sentence exactly what you do and what result the client gets. On a budget, pay with time instead of money: post on social media, show your face, join groups and demo the AI on your phone to local businesses. Lower the risk for prospects, for example with a free first week or a database reactivation campaign they only pay for if it gets results. Larger businesses are easier to get results for, because a small change makes a big difference across many contacts.

Redesigning a prospect's website makes a strong sales demo: give their current site to the AI assistant, have it redesign the site and show them the result. Put your credibility and experience on your own site, for example in an about the founder section, and if you already have a registered business, use it and show its legal name in the footer. Votel's referral program is another quick early win.
