How do I limit a sub-account to a set number of minutes or units of a service?

  1. Go to Settings, then Sub-accounts, and click the account. You can also open the client's contact, go to the Billing tab and click the pencil icon to manage their individual services.
  2. Open the Billing tab. Below the Balance section is Service usage.
  3. Set how much of each service the sub-account can use.
  4. Choose whether each limit is per month or a total. Use per month if the client pays monthly. Use total for a one-time contract, for example one paid up front for the year.

There are two ways to control a client's spend: work out what the usage is worth in dollars and put that amount in their wallet, or set Service usage limits so they can only use that many minutes or units.

When a client is on a plan, the limits shown in Service usage are a snapshot of the plan's limits from the time they ordered it. If you change the plan later, open it in SaaS Configurator, then SaaS Plans, and click the Sync subscribers button at the top to push the change to everyone on that plan.
