How do I package my services and sell clients more over time with add-ons and custom services?

Votel recommends packaging around the problems you solve, not features. Think of each snapshot as a service people can buy, for example a 24/7 AI receptionist (no more missed calls or appointments), social media management, database reactivation or more Google reviews. Then walk clients up a value ladder: once they like the first thing you do, offer more. An AI receptionist can be the starting service, and later you can add reputation management and Google reviews, social media management, SEO, lead management, database reactivation, AEO and more. Offering more services to the same clients is how you can double your revenue.

In the SaaS Configurator you control every service in a plan. You can turn services on for some clients and off for others (for example voice agents without the CRM) and build your own packages. There are two ways to structure extra services:

  1. Custom services: in the plan builder (SaaS plans), use the option to add custom services, name the service (for example social media management or database reactivation) and turn it on or off per plan. A prospect then needs your higher plan to get that service.
  2. Add-ons: when you click create a plan, set the plan type switch to add-on instead of package. Create an add-on for each extra service, such as an additional snapshot, database reactivation or social media management. A customer can have as many add-ons as they want on top of their package.

Create at least two add-ons and at least two visible plans. If an add-on has the customer visible checkbox enabled, customers see it when they log in (for example on the billing page), which works like free advertising for your offer. After the first month, once the client sees results, talk through your add-ons with them. Packages, offers and pricing are covered on Day 3 of the 5 Day Challenge.
