How does Votel recommend pricing the plans I sell to my clients?
Votel recommends the following.
Offer at least two pricing options, a monthly one and an annual one. A typical annual discount is ten months for twelve, so the yearly price is ten times the monthly price; rename that pricing option from monthly to yearly. Annual plans bring cash up front and pay back your ad spend faster if you run paid advertising.
Use a setup fee when you have work to do up front. You get paid to set the account up, and you can waive it or cut it in half on a sales call to help someone commit.
If you offer a trial, require a credit card. If you advertise on Facebook, a card-required trial lets the ads optimize for people who are willing to put in a card. Also decide whether the trial is done for you (you set up the agents and everything in your offer) or whether the customer gets a login to set it up themselves. Busy owners, such as a roofer on a roof or a plumber with full hands, rarely log in, so a done-for-you trial usually works better.
Start a client with one core service and sell extras as add-ons later. Pricing and building your offer are covered in depth on day three of the 5 Day Challenge.
