How much does 10DLC (A2P) registration for SMS cost?

Carrier registration fees are passed through at exactly what we are charged, with no profit to Votel. You pay for each attempt to submit a registration.

  1. Brand registration: $4.50, one time, when your business name matches your EIN and your EIN matches your address. If they do not match, you may have to go through a secondary manual business verification with a separate company (Aegis), which costs a lot more. Use the entity name, EIN and address exactly as shown on your IRS EIN letter to avoid it.
  2. Plan (campaign): the fee is charged three months up front, then monthly from month four. Low Volume Mixed is $1.50 a month, so $4.50 up front. The other options, such as standard volume or low volume as a sole proprietor, are $10 a month, so $30 up front. We recommend Low Volume Mixed: it allows up to five use cases and is the better deal.
  3. Carrier review: $15 per review, charged only when a brand or plan is rejected and has to be reviewed again, for example because something on your website is wrong or your use case is unclear.

For a business with an EIN that chooses Low Volume Mixed, that is about $9 at submission ($4.50 brand plus $4.50 for three months), then $1.50 a month.

These fees apply to every client that sends SMS: each one pays its own one-time brand fee and monthly plan fee.
