How should I package and price Visitor ID when I sell it to my clients?
Votel recommends offering Visitor ID to any client with website traffic, including organic traffic for home services, and especially to clients who already spend money on ads, even just retargeting. It turns anonymous visitors into leads, so they get more leads from the same ad spend and may even be able to reduce their ad spend. They can also retarget the identified visitors with highly targeted ads. Everyone should also put it on their own website.
Value it by what the business already pays for leads. A roofer or HVAC company may pay $15, $100 or $200 for each lead from ads, so leads for less than that are highly valuable, and an address alone is valuable to a business like a roofer. Because many businesses pay far more than the 69 cents it costs you, you can resell it at a markup, for example two or three dollars per lead, and still be competitive.
Ways to price it:
- A charge per identified lead, with the markup set in the SaaS configurator so you make margin each time a visitor is identified.
- A flat monthly fee, or a plan at a set price that covers up to a certain number of identified leads.
- A trial, for example two weeks, as a way to introduce yourself to a business and show your value. It does not have to be a low cost offer.
If you manage paid ads, Click tracking includes an ads manager where you connect ad accounts and see where traffic and leads come from.
