How should I price AI voice calls and other usage for my clients?

There is no single formula; it depends on your niche, your price point and the value you deliver.

If a client already pays a high monthly fee, for example a law firm paying $2,500 a month, billing per minute creates friction because they see small charges on top of a large fee, so include the usage in the plan. Other agencies bill per minute. Others sell plans with minute bundles, for example one plan up to 1,000 minutes and another up to 25,000 minutes. Bundles work as a breakage model: not every client uses their full allowance, so if a plan covers 50,000 minutes and the client uses 40,000, the unused amount is extra profit.

Do not include unlimited or free calls for a high-volume client, because usage is unpredictable and can be expensive for you. AI voice on Votel is priced low enough that you can double your cost and still be competitive, since other providers charge 15 to 25 cents a minute. Use the pricing calculator on the Votel pricing page to estimate your cost per minute.

Agencies earn the most by selling outcomes (sales, appointments, leads, bookings) rather than minutes.
