Applies to: Customers building apps that have their own users

If I build an app with users and subscriptions, should I manage them in Votel?

Votel recommends this: if the app is an integral part of your business, keep it in your own account and use Votel as the backend for the common things. Every app has users or contacts, subscriptions and emails, so have the app create contacts in Votel, run subscriptions in Votel and send emails from Votel. Build in the app only what Votel does not cover, for example your own user management page.

Decide for each kind of end user whether they are a contact in Votel with a subscription, or a sub-account in Votel with or without a subscription, and pick the best match. Contacts are the basic foundation and a good default. Do not create a team user on your account for app users. You do not normally need a separate sub-account just for an app.
