What AI credits or starting balance should I include in my client's plan?

Votel recommends the same model we use: include no AI credits in the package, give the client a small starting balance, and bill everything else on usage. A starting balance of two to five dollars lets them get a phone number, use the AI and send a few emails.

A plan can carry two kinds of credit: a one-time credit, and a recurring credit, which can roll over (for example $10 a month with rollover). Pick one or the other rather than stacking both.

If a client runs out of AI credits, they can connect their own AI subscription through the MCP server so they do not need to use credits for it.
