What can the AI assistant do, and how do I get the best results from it?

When you log in, the first screen is the AI assistant. It can do pretty much everything you can do in the platform: build a website, a funnel, an automation or workflow, an AI agent or an app, schedule social media posts and more.

Everything it builds can also be edited by hand afterwards. A website it builds opens in the drag and drop website builder, where you can add, delete or swap items such as images, move sections, and change the logo, text and buttons yourself. For simple changes the website builder is quicker. For a complete redesign, use the AI assistant.

It works in an agentic way, so you do not need to give it one thing at a time. You can give it a large job with many tasks, for example a funnel with a form that feeds a drip campaign plus a social media campaign, and it works through them one at a time while you step away. Builds can run in the background for five to ten minutes. To see what it is doing, use the button on the right that shows its steps. Turn on the auto approve switch if you do not want it to stop and ask permission.

It has access to its own computer, so it can handle tasks such as parsing a CSV file.

Tips for better results:

  1. Give it as much detail as you can. It cannot read your mind, and when you leave things out it fills in the blanks with its own assumptions, which may not be what you want.
  2. Use the dictation button and simply talk. The more you say, the closer the result is to what you want.
  3. Give it examples. Paste an image, a screenshot or a link to a site you like and ask for something like it; the AI learns well from images. Paste a link to your old website and it pulls the content and rebuilds it.
  4. Ask for what you want, such as entrance animations or subtle animations, because it will not always add them on its own. If you want pictures on a site, ask for images.
  5. Put all your requirements in up front. It is more efficient than asking for one feature at a time.

For website writing and design there are built-in skills. The humanizer skill removes signs of AI writing, such as em dashes. The design taste skill removes the generic look AI-built sites often have. Tell the AI to use them.

The blue orb that follows you around the app is the same AI assistant. When the Page Vision button is on (blue), the AI can see your screen, so it works as support too: ask it what a button or something on screen means, or tell it to add something to the workflow or agent you are editing. If you ask where to do something, for example where to create a SaaS plan, it takes you to that page. If you do not know how to do something in Votel, ask it and learn by watching what it creates.

The assistant uses AI credits for the work it does.
