What comes over when I migrate from GoHighLevel, and what does not?

The GoHighLevel export covers websites and funnels, AI Studio projects with all their pages, apps, workflows (automations), forms, calendars, voice AI agents, contacts and conversations, pipelines, message templates, custom fields, custom values, tags, and some phone system settings such as your 10DLC campaign application, which comes over ready to submit in Votel.

Apart from workflows and voice AI agents (see below), everything comes over as an exact copy. Websites migrate as a pixel-perfect copy. If a site has a GoHighLevel chat widget or form, we remove it and put in Votel's own. Video links in your messages, such as YouTube links, come over with the content.

Workflows: Votel's workflow builder differs from GoHighLevel's, so our AI rebuilds each workflow in Votel using the same email copy, SMS copy and other content. Something that takes several steps in GoHighLevel can often be done in one step in Votel, so a rebuilt workflow is often smaller and simpler, but it is built. Check your workflows after the migration. You can also rebuild any workflow yourself with the AI assistant: paste the workflow's JSON, or attach a screenshot of it, and tell the assistant to build it in Votel. This works for workflows from other tools such as n8n too.

Voice AI agents: the agent's system prompt is copied. The agent's knowledge base does not come over, so open the agent in Votel and add its files and websites to its knowledge base there. You may also need to redo connections the agent uses, such as the calendar it books into.

Not included: opportunities are not copied by the export tool. Documents stored on a contact in GoHighLevel are not included (each contact in Votel can hold files, so you can add them there). Signed contracts and documents stored under payments in GoHighLevel are not confirmed as included, so download them from GoHighLevel yourself to be safe. Votel does not offer WordPress hosting.

If your GoHighLevel account is mostly contacts, pipelines and opportunities, you may not need the export tool at all: export your contacts and opportunities as CSV files from GoHighLevel and import them into Votel.

Snapshots, phone numbers, domains and Stripe payments are handled separately. If something you need is not in the export, tell us through Live Support and we can expand the tool.
