What do I need on my website to get my SMS (10DLC) registration approved?

Carriers review your website, so set it up before you apply. You need:

  1. A privacy policy linked at the top or bottom of your website. The main thing carriers check is a statement that you do not buy, sell or share people's phone numbers or personal information. The page must stay live all the time and be on the website you list in the application.
  2. A form on your site with a consent checkbox, where people agree to receive text messages from you.
  3. Matching company details: the company name, EIN and address must line up everywhere in the application.

When you describe consent, explain exactly how people agree to receive texts, for example: they visit your site, fill out the form and tick the checkbox saying they agree to receive messages. Give the link to that page. A real person who knows nothing about your business reads the application, so spell everything out and make sure it is true. If you say people opt in on your home page but there is no form there, you will not be approved. Be clear about the links in your messages too, and use the same website in your sample messages as in your use case description.

Do not submit until everything is ready. As soon as you submit, an automated system can visit your site, take a screenshot and review it, so there is no time to fix things afterward, and a review after a denial is paid. Before you submit, check that the privacy policy link is clickable, that it says you will not sell phone numbers or personal information, and that the opt-in form with its consent checkbox is in place.

Help is available. The AI agent at the end of the registration process crawls your site, tells you what is missing and asks if you are sure when something is not there. You can ask the AI assistant to add a privacy policy and an opt-in form to your website, and our support team can send you privacy policy and terms wording. Once you have done it once, it is easy.
