What do I pay for besides my monthly plan, such as SMS, email and calls?

Your plan price covers the plan. Usage is billed separately from your wallet, and the full price list is under Settings, then Billing, then the Usage tab, where many items are usage based. Common charges:

SMS: one cent per message in the US. International SMS starts at two cents and up, with a full list by country (click the info button next to SMS on the Usage tab).

Email: if you use Votel's built-in email service, $0.002 per email (two tenths of a penny). You can also connect your own email service instead.

Phone calls: charged per minute, with separate pieces for speech to text, the AI voice engine and the telephone cost. Recording a call is almost a penny per minute.

AI text messages: a fraction of a penny, $0.001 per message.

AI assistant: credits at $0.25 each, used when the AI builds things for you.

AI video: charged per second, at a price that depends on the model and options.

Many things are free, such as Instagram messages, unlimited contacts, unlimited custom fields, unlimited forms and unlimited pipelines. As a white label agency you can choose to charge your customers for these.

When automations run, you pay for what is in them: an email step costs the email, an SMS step costs the SMS, and an AI agent step costs the AI model it uses, passed through at what the provider charges us, depending on the model you pick. If a workflow only calls an outside service with your own account, such as your own HeyGen account, Votel does not add a charge for calling that service.
