What is the code execution charge on my usage page, and do my free AI credits cover it?

The AI assistant has its own sandbox computer. When you ask it to do things such as verify domain settings or look up DNS records, it may use that computer. That use is billed by the minute, at a little over a third of a cent per minute (about $0.0033 a minute), and it shows as code execution on the Usage tab under Settings, Billing.

Free AI assistant credits cover the AI assistant's own work, but not this computer time, so code execution is paid from your wallet balance. The amounts are small.

Connecting your own Claude account lowers the AI assistant credits you use, but most people do not need to do this while they still have free credits.
