What is the difference between my agency account and a sub-account?

Your own account is the agency account, also called the master or parent account, because it can create sub-accounts. Every sub-account you create sits below it, and sub-accounts are for your clients.

Unlike systems with a separate agency view you cannot really work in, on Votel you work directly in your agency account. It is the same account where you create agents, websites, snapshots and everything else, so you do not need to create a sub-account for yourself, as you would in GoHighLevel, or switch back and forth.

The agency account has extra items under Settings that sub-accounts do not have, such as the SaaS Configurator and Sub-accounts. Only the agency account can create sub-accounts; your clients cannot create their own. Otherwise a sub-account gets the same platform experience you have, limited to the services you give it, with completely separate data.

We recommend creating one demo sub-account to use for screen shares and demos, so you do not show your own contacts, leads or customers. If you create a sub-account for yourself, edit its balance to a high amount instead of funding it with your own card.
