What is the homework for each day of the 5 Day Challenge?

Days 1 to 4 of the challenge each have a small homework task. The point of the challenge is to take action, and doing the homework the same day keeps you from falling behind. The homework comes as a short one page PDF guide that tells you exactly what to do, so you do not have to search the video for it. It is pinned in the session chat and posted with each day's recording in the school community.

Day 1 homework:

  1. Buy a domain from a registrar such as GoDaddy (godaddy.com) or Namecheap (namecheap.com). A .com costs about $10 a year. Do not overthink it; you can change it later.
  2. In Settings, open the SaaS Configurator and connect your domain on the Custom Domain tab as your white label domain. Use a subdomain such as app.yourdomain.com, not the root domain. This is the back-end address your clients log in on.
  3. Complete the Branding tab.
  4. Create one SaaS plan with a placeholder price (such as $9.97 a month), click the 2x button on the next tab so you charge twice what the platform charges for usage, and save it as a draft. Do not connect Stripe yet.
  5. Write down three to five niches you are considering and bring them to Day 2, where you pick one. The free niche picker guide, pinned in the challenge chat, explains which niches are good and bad.
  6. Join the school community and comment on the post there to get your 200 free AI credits.

The first three tabs of the SaaS Configurator (branding, domain and your first SaaS plan) are all you need to get online. If you are a small business owner using Votel for your own business and not creating a white label for other people, you can skip the domain part of this homework, because it is about connecting your domain for the white label. You do not need to connect a domain to use Votel for your own business. When you build a website or funnel, its Domains tab is where you add your own domain to publish it.

Day 2 homework:

Day 2 is about picking one niche and building the AI system for it, so you can start getting clients. The Day 2 guide includes example prompts.

  1. Pick one niche, using the outline of what makes a good niche. Look for a high average order value and clients who put a high value on their time. Settling on one niche is better than trying three, which makes everything three times harder.
  2. Solve at least one problem in that niche.
  3. Have the AI assistant build your agency website for the niche using the outcome and how formula. The sample prompt is only inspiration: tell it who you are, that you are an agency, your ideal clients, your colors, the main problems you solve (for example database reactivation, a 24/7 answering service, or following up with clients to preserve case value), the outcome you deliver and everything else you can. The more detail you share, the better the result, so it is fine to ramble.
  4. Put a lead capture form on the website. The form can trigger an automation that emails you about the new lead and follows up with the lead by email, phone call and SMS in real time.
  5. Get a business phone number: click Settings, then Phone. A toll-free number is typically recommended. Put the number on your website.
  6. Create your AI receptionist: create an AI agent, choose Start from a website and pick the website the AI built (or paste your website link).
  7. Turn on the phone number for your agent (flip the switch) so the agent answers calls on it.
  8. Create the website chat widget (Agents, then create your widget), copy the embed code, paste it to the AI assistant and say add this to my website. Then test the widget.
  9. Connect your email.
  10. Connect your root domain to the website: open the website in the Websites section, click the Domains tab and enter your root domain (yourdomain.com, not the app subdomain from Day 1) so the world sees your website. You then have two domains: the back end (app.yourdomain.com) and your agency's sales website.

Only picking a niche and building the website are required that day. If you tell the AI what to do, all of it can be done in five or ten minutes, and you can use your 200 free AI credits for it. By the end, the AI should be answering your phone and the chat widget should be on your website. If you already have a company website on your own domain elsewhere, you do not have to change it: build a separate site for your niche on a different domain or a subdomain.

Day 3 homework:

  1. In the SaaS Configurator, set the pricing in your SaaS plan, replacing the placeholder price.
  2. Create at least two packages, because people like options and some simply want the highest option.
  3. Give each package two prices, a monthly price and a yearly price (add multiple prices on the plan's price tab). You can give a discount for annual, since annual means money up front.
  4. Create add-on packages for your additional services, for example social media management and database reactivation. Aim for three add-ons.
  5. Create a payment form and put it on your website if you have not already.
  6. Once your website is live, create your Stripe account and connect it in test mode. Test your payment form and the sign up flow with the Stripe test card.
  7. When you are happy and your business is ready, connect Stripe again in live mode.

If your business entity is not set up yet, wait on the Stripe part, because Stripe asks for your entity details and EIN. You can do everything else. Once Stripe is connected in live mode, your site is ready to accept payments.

Day 4 homework:

  1. Create social media accounts for your agency brand: at least Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn (more is better), using your agency name and the same branding as your landing page.
  2. Connect them in Votel.
  3. Ask the AI assistant to design your first post telling everyone you are live and who you serve, so prospects who look you up find some history.
  4. Put the Visitor ID pixel or the chat widget on your website.

There is no homework on day 5.
