What is the social media skill in the AI assistant, and how do I start and use it?
The social media skill (also called the social media system) is an add-on skill for the AI assistant. It is a guided process for planning, creating and scheduling social media content. Other skills are used while you build something. This one walks you through step by step and asks you questions as it takes you through creating your content and content calendar, connecting accounts and scheduling posts, ending with a full plan of scheduled posts, for example 30 days of content. It creates and schedules text and image content. Short form video is not part of the skill, although you can generate video separately in the AI Video tab of the Library.
To launch it, type launch the social media skill (or start the social media skill) in the AI assistant, or tell the assistant to use the social media skill. If you have it, it appears in your skills list under Assistant settings, on the Skills tab. It can be used on your own account and on your sub-accounts.
The social media skill is not a snapshot. Because it is a skill of the AI assistant, it appears under the AI assistant, not in the Library, which only shows files and snapshots.
If you already know what you want, you can skip the guided flow. Tell the assistant to create the posts and images directly, for example three versions of a Facebook post with three images so you can pick the best one, then tell it to schedule or post it. A saved brand kit (colors and style) lets the images follow your brand.
If you sell social media management, you use the skill to create and schedule content for your clients. Most agencies offer social media as a managed service, doing it for the client, which lets them charge more. You can also package the skill and give it to your clients. It raises the value of what you sell, especially for clients who do not know where to start.
