Where do I find the skills in the AI assistant, and how do I use them or create my own?

Skills are instructions the AI assistant reads and follows to do a task better. A skill already has the whole process outlined, so you do not have to explain every step yourself.

To see your skills:

  1. Open the AI assistant.
  2. At the very bottom left, click Assistant settings.
  3. Open the Skills tab (the third tab). Every skill on your account is listed there. Click a skill to read a short description of what it does.

What you see depends on your account. Built-in skills are free for everyone: the humanizer skill, which is on by default and removes the signs of AI-generated writing such as em dashes, and the design taste skill, which removes common AI-looking traits from website designs. Add-on skills such as the 47 Marketing Skills and the social media skill appear in the same list once they are added to your account. If you bought a skill pack and it is not listed, contact support and the team will add it.

To use a skill, tell the AI assistant to use it in your message. For example: "design a website and use the conversion rate optimization skill and the marketing copy skill", "optimize this site for SEO using the SEO skill", "rewrite the content on my website using the humanizer skill", or "use the ad creative skill and the copywriting skill to create five high converting Facebook ads". The AI understands what you mean even if you do not use the exact skill name. It sometimes picks a skill on its own, but naming the skill guarantees it is used and that the AI goes through that skill's checklist. If you are not sure which to use, describe the task and tell it to use all the skills it thinks fit, and it will choose. For the social media skill, say "launch the social media skill" and it walks you through a guided process.

The skills work the same on a brand new website or an existing one, and when the AI redesigns a site. The conversion rate optimization (CRO) skill and the copywriting (marketing copy) skill are the ones used most for websites, landing pages and funnels, and most people settle on two or three favorites. The same prompt run twice gives different results, so you can run it again, with and without the skills, and compare the versions.

You can create your own skills: in Assistant settings, open the Skills tab and create a new skill. Whenever you find yourself repeating the same instructions, make it a skill. You cannot modify the built-in skills, but you can add new ones and load in other skills. You can also edit the assistant's system prompts in Assistant settings to change how it behaves by default. Skills can be passed down to sub-accounts, like snapshots.
