Which 10DLC use case should I choose for my SMS plan?

For almost every business, choose Low Volume Mixed. It costs $1.50 a month instead of $10 a month for the standard option, and it lets you select up to five use cases. The carriers do not really define what low volume means, and nearly everybody uses it.

Select every use case you might send in the future, even ones you do not plan on yet. It is better to have a use case approved than to send something you were not approved for and go through the process a second time. Most people select at least Customer Care and Marketing. Other options include Two Factor Auth, Delivery Notifications, Account Notifications and Public Service Announcement.

You must disclose how you will use SMS before you use it, and you cannot register one use case and then send something different. For example, if you are approved for customer service messages and then send a 50 percent off sale, that is not a customer service message.

Once approved, the plan can be used with up to 49 phone numbers.
