Which AI model does the Votel assistant use, and can I choose it?

Votel uses a number of different AI models on the back end. The model used depends on the task you are doing and on the effort level you set with the slider. The aim is the best model for the task, balancing quality, speed and cost, rather than always the most expensive one. The most expensive models can cost around ten times more per million tokens and are often not needed, so the default model is chosen on purpose to balance cost and speed.

You can pick the language model the assistant uses and, for voice, the voice provider. What you pick changes the price.

We prefer AI providers with no data retention, meaning they do not keep what you send them. For that reason Meta's AI model is not offered as a provider, because it saves everything sent to it.
